He hasn’t played football in 3 months with an 0-12 team. I don’t think you can give him a fair judgment since most guys stopped trying around week 9.

    Hue Jackson is a loser.

Oh sweet Christ stop. Stop talking. There is a reason Griffin was available, and spent the entire season last year de-activated even though he was healthy. Because he’s terrible. There are 3rd string QB’s on almost every team, and I’d pick every one of the to start a game over RG3. ANy of them. They’re all better, and by a large, large margin. Write it down, RG3 wil be out of the league next year. He is so terrible it’s not even worth talking about anymore.

then if he is so bad, why wouldn’t they have played any other 3rd string qb on any other team wise guy? hell, we have qb’s galore – but he started today.

thanks by the way for making my point legit – i argued he hasn’t played in 3 months and this team quit playing in week 9 – your argument is he didn’t play last year in something we don’t have a clue why he didn’t but because sport writers said he was playing bad etc etc. they never released him when they could have.

Haha remember yesterday when we were all talking about what we would do if RG3 lit it up for the last 4 games? That was fun.

That was one hell of a sorry game. I’m willing to see him in another one though.

Air Raid QB’s DO NOT WORK in the NFL. Say it with me folks.

Its so ridiculous @Ice….like soup is expecting this guy to be a hero today….he hasn’t played in 3 months. I give him credit for even trying with a team this terrible. Personally, if I was him, I would pretend not to be healing as fast and start working during the offseason.

OUR QB’S HAVE BEEN SMOKED ALL YEAR. Yet, some fucking dudes on a forum are bitter and for some fucking reason think Kessler is the future of this team. He panics every fucking snap.

Air Raid QBs are changing. Top tier QB are now going to Air Raid and Spread programs. College football is big business and college teams are no longer content with being a training ground for the NFL, they want to win their own championships. For better or worse (and I believe it’s the latter), the elite QBs of the future will come from Spread and Air Raid offenses. This means that expectations of highly drafted QBs from such systems will also have to be tempered as well. While some sources like the WSJ are predicting the end of football as we know it, players like Cam Newton, Marcus Mariota, Andy Dalton and Alex Smith show that QBs that do not play in Pro Style offenses can still succeed.

Now, all other things being equal, would you take a QB with experience in a Pro Style offense over a similarly gifted QB who played in the spread? You should. Experience running a pro style offense, even at the collegiate level, is still valuable. The fact of the mater is that they’re becoming fewer and farther between, and a new plan will need to be formulated to develop top prospects who are as focused on winning in college as they will some day be in the NFL.

What I didn’t get about RG3 is why Terelle Pryor was only targeted 3 times. He is a mismatch against all but the most elite corners in the NFL. I got the distinct impression watching the game that there is some tension between RG3 and TP that will prevent them from being effective. The attitudes, the looks, it’s not pretty.

I don’t know if there was tension – that is a perception and theory you have.

RG3 missed guys open all day. There was no doubt about it. He really struggled to see the field. He tried to stretch the field, but he did it with coleman who also has had very limited time this year. Also, Coleman doesn’t appear to be like TP who will go up for a jump ball.

Oddly enough, OSU players are trained to go up for jump balls mainly because they get qbs with strong arms, but not with great timing. Just a perception I have.
