Can we offer a different team our second round pick to trade the Steelers a third round pick for Brown, and then trade him to us?

Beyond that, I’ll believe it when I see it…the Steelers have been “done” and “imploding” for years, and they always stick around near the top of the AFC. They won 13 games a years ago, regardless of “what if” they have a better record than us this year including a win against us, and they have some talented WRs behind Brown. I’m not saying I don’t feel optimistic, but we haven’t beaten them until we’ve actually beaten them.

I’ve been thinking about Brown a lot. He’s exactly the type of player we need that will demand a double team on every play and really get a defense on their heels.

Despite that, I don’t want him. It took us decades to get a group of guys together that care so much about TEAM and winning and he is just the opposite. His talent doesn’t matter if he’s not showing up to meetings and constantly bitching about his targets. As Landry said ‘that shit’s contagious.’ I don’t want him. I’ll just be happy enough if he leaves the AFC North.

Sounds like it’s a non-thing due to the way his contract is set up; the Steelers would have $21 million in dead money against the cap if they traded him.

Other than that, I’d at least kick the tires and talk to the dude. If his biggest gripe is “Been Rapestburger is a giant douche and I don’t want to listen to him anymore” it’s not a deal breaker to me. Although Ryan Clark had some very unfavorable things to say about Brown which would make me wary.

I believe if they trade him after June it drops down to 6 mil. I may be wrong on that.

I read those things too, and AB’s reply was to call Clark an Uncle Tom. He didn’t refute anything Clark said, just called him the absolute worst name he could think of.

Living here I can tell you a massive majority of fans have disliked Tomlin and Colbert for many years. The running joke is “the standard is the standard” due to their habit of playing down to their opponent.

Tomlin runs a country club in that his concern is more about being friends with the players than a coach. He’s have been fired long ago by many teams, but Steelers don’t operate that way.

I think they are about to experience that massive fall. Bens heart clearly isn’t in it and he doesn’t have much time left. Schuster is the next Brown – his head will be as big soon. Clash of personalities
