No shade on Ward, but some rookie defenders are lighting up the NFL on this list.None. Wards numbers dropped because QBs stopped throwing at him. His name isn’t mentioned anymore due to that reason.

Same here, Ward is the best defensive rookie in his class, and he’s a lynchpin of our defense at a position we were otherwise extremely weak at. I was mad when we drafted him, I thought he lacked the speed and size to cover #1s on an island…man was I wrong. I wish we still had Haden, there’d be no way to pass against us.
