soupParticipantLet me preface by saying I wanted him #1. Garrett is very unimpressive so far in these first two games. Extremely disappointed.

ShooterModeratorLmao.
Come on, call him a bust, you know you want to. Lets hear all about what a wasted pick he is.

ParticipantI can’t understand what they’re seeing with Osweiler that makes them think he is a better option than Kessler. We know who Osweiler is, and he’s not going to magically turn into a franchise QB.
Kizer has been better than I thought he’d be this early, but he’s still got a ways to go. He’s taken a lot of sacks and hits tonight that he needs to learn to avoid. I like his potential though.
To me, 2016 Kessler is better than Brock or Kizer. He must have fallen apart in camp or something. But, if they’re not going to start him, there’s no reason to waste time on Brock. He’s pure trash.

mike barnesParticipantI don’t know how the Giants lt wasn’t called for holding at least once he was mugging Myles on almost every down. If putting points on the board is a priority then kizer has what 24 so far to Brock’s 0 we’ll know by wensday who’ll be starting Saturday and perhaps game one I don’t mind sitting Kizer for say the first month but the kids clearly better than Brock Cody and Hogan. Kudos to Joe schobert he played a heck of a game tonight.

ShooterModeratorGreg Williams has this defense not only fired up, but playing at a high level. I see nothing but fantastic things coming for this unit this season. Very, very aggressive.
While he didn’t impress me, many are bagging on Osweiler for his INT. I don’t get it, it was a tipped pass. They happen. It wasn’t like he threw it to the other team.

IceKeymasterBecause a guy 6 foot 8 shouldn’t be getting batted at the line and he has an issue with it in his career.
If that’s true, then the opposite must also be true. A short QB should often be getting his passes batted at the line. So we definitely shouldn’t start a guy like Kessler because he’s gonna get a lot more tipped balls. Because tipped balls are inversely proportional to the height of the QB.
FALSE
Soup again you think in a vacuum. If the ball absolutely has to get there fast you don’t get to float it over the D-line. You gotta take your chances and trust your O-line to keep the defenders from getting their paws up. He tried to peg it through and a defender made a play. I’m not forgiving it, it was a bad play. But getting a ball tipped at the line doesn’t make a person a bad QB.

soupParticipantUm, Kessler does have a batted ball issue. They also said it last night OSWEILER HAS AN ISSUE WITH IT IN HIS CAREER.

ParticipantThe issue is with Osweilers long deleivery, he was staring at the receiver and JPP read his eyes and saw where the ball was going. It wasn’t a lucky tip, he gave away where the throw was going long before the ball came out. That’s the issue. Osweiler is terrible.
I honestly cannot think of one good football reason to start Osweiler. If they do, it has to be as a n attempt to justify his salary, that’s about it. He’s looked terrible with better talent around him than what he has in Cleveland, why would anything change this year??
Kizer has to be the starter, I just don’t see the point of not starting him. If our oline wasn’t good you could make an argument, but on paper the line should be above average at worst.

the dudeParticipantMy quick thoughts on the game and so far what I have seen.
– Hue Jackson last week said none of his players would take a knee during the game. A good piece of them did. I personally think this is crap and “has nothing to do with the bigger picture” like some of these guys claim. It is garbage and makes me not want to support them. It is completely disrespectful to anyone who has served and anyone who is an American. Not trying to bring politics into any of this, but the browns players are…. And many of you know I am a registered independent who votes Democrat on a large level. This is crap. Start fining these guys. They don’t like it, they can leave.
– Osweiller sucks. He needs to be cut today. Kessler and Kizer future.
– Kizer looked really good. Yes, he was sacked… But the o line has looked really bad. Joe Thomas is so important to this organization.
– Defense looks like it really could be really good. I think Gregg Williams is going to be really awesome as our coordinator and they will keep us in the game.
– here we are 2 weeks from the beginning of the season and we have the same problem we have ever year…. Cant move the chains. Running game looks less than par. Receivers look really week.
– going to be another real tough year. We will probably start off 0-4, but we will have some winnable games beginning week 5
– I really want to see Jackson make a decision with peppers. I know they are holding the tricks in the book right now. But this is the nfl and he has to have a position whether it is on offense or on defense, he needs to really focus. Drafting him as early as we did, he cannot just return kicks.
– finally, Garrett is going to be great. You can tell he is purely in practice mode because he is using lackluster techniques and still moving guys and making plays. He may be the second best player we have on this team.
Hue Jackson is a loser.
