ParticipantHard pass. He’s a Todd Haley type: doesn’t play well with others. We don’t need that.

ShooterModeratorIf we hire Jim Harbaugh I’ll buy my first Panthers jersey and I’ll never look back.

If you did that, we could retire “go root for Buffalo” with “go root for Carolina”.

DawgSoldierParticipantWell he is a better pro coach than college coach because he can’t recruit worth a shit.
For former QB he really sucks at developing a passing game.
What he is VERY good at is fundamentals and teaching them that. Every college program he has ever coached at produced a players that were VERY funamentlly sound. And he has done more with less talented players because as said the guy SUCKS at recruiting.
Could he mesh with Kitchens and Williams styles and reenforce there weaknesses. Adding coach were blocking and tackeling were taught and reenforced from the top wouldn’t hurt.
On the flip side, He likes a run heavy power scheme with a big big Armed QB and big WR’s…..which I have zero problem with. Basically a power overlay of the WCO with tennats and personel of the Air Coryell sytem implemented. See Andrew Luck & Toby Gerhart’s time at Stanford for example.
Thing is thats not the groceries in the pantry the Browns have. They have more finesse blockers and more an old school WCO style QB & WR’s IMO.
So I don’t really see the fit unless Harbaugh significantly changes his MO offensivelly…or the Browns would be signing up for a massive overhaul offensivelly IMO.

MDP Sack AttackParticipantHe’s the only college coach worth considering, IMO. He’s already been proven at the Pro level.

And if Tom Herman or Ryan day where available hypothetically?

ParticipantI think the Browns would go after Mike McCarthy before even considering Harbaugh.
Dorsey and McCarthy have worked together before too.
Axthing to remember is that these are just rumors. No one know what Dorsey will do. Just think back to the draft. It wasn’t until shortly before the draft that the rumors about the Browns seriously considering Baker as the number one pick.
As far as leaving the Browns because of who they choose as coach, That isn’t me. After all I’ve been through 19 horrible drafts before Dorsey got here and didn’t give up.
