soupParticipantExcept that Sashi proved he won’t get another QB by virtue of the fact that kicker is still wearing a Browns uniform. If he drafts him he keeps them no matter what.
Personally I’m okay we didn’t use a 2nd on a Belichick throwaway QB.

ParticipantI want nothing to do with Garoppolo, so I have no problem with SF giving up what will like be the 1st or 2nd pick of the 2nd round for him.
That said, I’m just going to assume that Garoppolo, Wentz, and Watson are going to be the next Brady, Brees, and Manning. We’re in for a “fun” decade of football.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2017/10/31/hue-jackson-puts-out-the-word-that-he-wanted-jimmy-garoppolo-in-cleveland/The key there is Garrapolo didn’t want Cleveland. He has the same agent as Brady. The agent isn’t going to lie about doing g a deal with Cleveland long term when he could go where he wants. It doesn’t benefit the agent or client. That could be why nothing ever happened.

I don’t doubt it. But here’s where we need the 3rd piece of info. Did Sashi inquire about him and did Jimmy agent say “I won’t sign long term with you.”
If Sashi never even inquired he has every reason to be livid. If he did and the agent basically said it’s a waste of your pick he won’t sign then he shouldn’t be

IceKeymasterWhose offensive line would you rather play behind; ours or San Frans? Even without JT I’d take ours. Of course then you have to admit that most of our WR’s would not even making the roster of the other 31 teams so I guess that evens it out.

ShooterModeratorSoup, it’s my understanding (from multiple 3rd parties) that the Browns were told by Garapolo’s agent that if the Browns traded for him they would be very uncooperative in contract talks.

4-41 in our last 45 games. Add to that coach and front office Changes yearly.
That said I’m not smart enough to copy it BUT Benjamin Albright on Twitter put out 4 tweets. Here’s a paraphrased version.
Last night coaches worked and front office went home at 5p. Coaches pissed. Coaches asked them to inquire about Garrapolo an hour after the trade happened. Aka Sashi didn’t even know about the trade.

Seems as if everyone from the top down thinks this season is a lost cause.
Edit:Here’s the interview for anyone who’s interested.

ShooterModeratorHuge rift between coaches and front office. Coaches believe they’re all getting fired at the end of the year.
Good interview. Nice to know the Front office all leaves at 5pm.

the dudeParticipantThere needs to be a total cleaning. This is seriously the worst I have ever seen this organization.
How can anyone say we will be better in year 3.
Year four means maybe 3 wins?
This is the bottom of the barrel. Organization under current leadership is very very bad.
Perhaps they are trying to bomb out so they can move the team again. Goodell wants a team in London pretty badly.
Hue Jackson is a loser.
