soupParticipantZeitler for Vernon and losing Wylie who designed the protections mixed with a complete change in playbook has decimated the oline and is on the verge of destroying Mayfield. Kitchens would’ve made more sense had they demanded he keep the playbook. Why he had to “fix” what wasn’t broken is beyond reasoning. This everyone goes vertical route garbage needs removed at the by week

Zeitler for Vernon in hindsight looks like a bad trade I’m gonna grant you 1 point there, but Zeitler wasn’t a tackle and as such in this argument doesn’t really hold much water. The argument can be made that it downgraded the overall value of the line as a whole, but when discussing the tackle positions and specifically Left Tackle, it doesn’t really have much to do with it.
Bob Wylie was a lifelong average assistant coach. Let’s not start putting this guy in Canton as some be-all end-all guru of offensive line knowledge. Good coach. Funny guy. Calm down though.
You have absolutely no idea if the playbook has completely changed so saying so is erroneous at best and complete bullshit at worst because you can’t prove it and have nothing to base that statement on and you blow goats in your spare time.
Nothing is “on the verge of destroying Mayfield” you panicking fuck, Jesus. Go hide in your bomb shelter for a while and eat some expiring rations.
Kitchens would’ve made more sense had they demanded he keep the playbook.
Once again, erroneous speculation based on nothing more than a guess and your “untrammeled, expert vision”. You know dick about the playbook. You knew dick about it last year and you know dick about it this year so stop. Just……stop lol.
Why he had to “fix” what wasn’t broken is beyond reasoning.
What’s being, ahem, “fixed”? The Left tackle spot? Joe Thomas is gone. That spot was very, very broken as a result, so trying to fucking fix it makes a whole lot of damn sense actually. And since this is discussing the Left Tackle position, it’s amazingly relevant. It’s not beyond reasoning, it’s sound, logical, pragmatic, realistic, incredibly NEEDED reasoning. For fucks sakes man, duh’uh!!

Holy shit, an actual thought that has some meat behind it and that I actually agree with. Slow developing plays that are attempting to stretch the field make no sense right now and hinder us offensively. Very counter-productive.
Everything else you said though is stupid.

soupParticipantBob Wylie’s average is way better than Kitchens best in regard to protections.
Mayfield barely got touched second half of last year.
Monken is an issue as he’s all about vertical routes. Kitchens had Haley’s playbook and called different plays from it. This year those plays are gone. It’s evident. When was the last time you saw us run any crossing routes? It’s an accident if even 1 player is underneath coverage now. These play designs are awful
