He’s suspended at least through the end of this season, and has to get approval the commish after this season to play again.

Word is coming out that Rudolph used a racial slur, or at least that is what Garrett said.

Meanwhile Pouncey’s suspension was lowered from 3 games to 2, which means he is now suspended for about 1 quarter per punch or kick thrown at a man lying on the ground being held down. Sounds fair.

Let me know when the season is over. Not watching another game.

Sick of my teams getting fucked. If Rudolph called him the n word and kicked him in the balls, then a hate crime has been committed.

Fuck the NFL. They will have to issue an apology to the fans before I turn another game on.

I hate to say it, but I’m struggling to believe Myles Garrett. I’m struggling to believe him when he says Rudolph called him a racial slur.

I find it odd that it comes up now. Why no mention of it prior to his hearing? How come no Browns players know of it? How come he didn’t tell any of his teammates?

I seriously hope that Garrett didn’t just go Jussie Smollet, because if he did…….that’s worse than the helmet. Good God what a nightmare this is if he’s lying.

NFL found no evidence of it.

They also couldn’t find the Ray Rice tape.

I fully believe Garrett 100% and stated to friends that “something Happened to set him off” why?

Freddie Kitchens post game comment “Myles told me what happened.” There’s no reason to make that statement. I thought it referred to the dick kicks when that came out but he probably didn’t even feel those with the cup.

Couple Kitchens and then watch Rudolph post game. Flush face and eyes made it evident he was hiding something without question. I stated as such when it was happening.

The Steelers offensive line was instructed to not acknowledge that question.

Rudolph’s attorney hasn’t the statement prepared the moment the news hit the wire – attorney client privelidge dictates that Rudolph could tell him the truth without issue and the attorney would prepare an immediate defense

The NFL refuses to release the audio of the fight in which there’s a guarantee of it being on tape

Rudolph using a racial slur right around Kaeprnicks antics around his fake publicity workout (meaning him as he has no desire to play in t NFL)

Or more likely it was never said. I want to believe Myles but this doesn’t pass the smell test. No one else heard it.

Just asked Baker Mayfield about Garrett’s allegation that Rudolph used a racial slur and he seemed pretty stunned. Said wasn’t something he’d heard, including from anyone on the team, until I just asked him

It passes with flying colors. Myles told Kitchens and no one else. NFL will never release the QB mic on this

I actually believe Myles too, but for different reasons.

First, why lie about it? Think about that. He’d be seriosuly defaming Rudolph to make up that he said a racial slur. And he has to know guys are mic’d up, so he’s not gonna pull one over on the nfl. No doubt he talked about it with his agent, and he would’ve advised him as much.

Second, the big argument about it “why didn’t it come out til now” holds no water. Myles has declined to talk about it as much as possible, saying to “look at the tape”. To me, he was trying to avoid making it out like he was justified in swinging the helmet because of the racial slur. Can you imagine the “victim blaming” backlash?

Third, have you seen Rudolph’s press conference the other day? Reporter: “was there anything you did that set Garrett off?” Rudolph: “definitely didn’t say anything..” Um, what? Watch it and hear his tone. That’s the most obvious admission of guilt Ive ever heard.

And finally, the timing of info that came out today reeks of spin. The NFL LEAKED that Garrett claimed Rudolph used a slur, and within minutes, you had reporters saying at least 2 players on the Steelers and 2 on the Browns didn’t know anything about it, and Rudolph’s lawyer had a statement released. I’m saying this all happened within about a 10 minute span. And then about a half hour later the suspension is announced as upheld. It absolutely REEKS of the NFL spinning the whole thing how they want it to go.

Is that the exact question phrasing and answer?

Because if the question was “Did you DO…..” and the response was

    “I definitely didn’t SAY anything”

Well, that’s a massive slip up

I just double checked, and that’s my bad. The question was “do you feel you instigated or said anything that escalated the situation.” The first time I heard it, I didn’t here the “said anything” part as the reporter kind of mumbled it.

Still, if you watch the video, he looks very guilty. And he claims he was just trying to get Garrett off him, so we know he’s full of shit.

NFL found no evidence of it.

The NFL is a shitty organization that let bellicek cheat for years then destroyed the evidence. The NFL has covered up owners who claim when black players take a knee it is like letting the prisoners run the jail. The NFL has mysteriously not heard or seen so much of the obvious events.

Of course they don’t want to announce anything race related. Why would any player say anything about it? They will end up like the next kaepernick.

Before every person on this forum was born, black people were lynched and called the n word. They had no rights and were treated still like slaved almost 100 years after it was eliminated.

If the though of one of my ancestors being treated below the level of shit and called by this word, I would be very sensitive especially when in the heat of the moment.

Working for large companies for as long as I have and being a server admin etc, I can assure you that the things said about minorities is still very alive and very common.

Myles Garrett is no idiot. He is a well spoken man. He got fucked by this whole thing. The NFL could have just suspended everyone involved 6 games and put an end to it.

Instead the black guy is punished and the white guy isn’t.

But the way, Myles issued a response. This is word for word exactly what he should say in this situation:

“I was assured that the hearing was space that afforded the opportunity to speak openly and honestly about the incident that led to my suspension. This was not meant for public dissemination, or was it a convenient attempt to justify my actions or restore my image in the eyes of those I disappointed. I know what I heard. Whether my opponent’s comment was born out of frustration or ignorance, I cannot say. But his actions do not excuse my lack of restraint in the moment, and I truly regret the impact this has had on the league, the Browns and our devoted fans.”

    Exactly.

They claim the qc mic isn’t recorded for use or available after the game is over. I’m an electrical engineer, but it doesn’t take an electrical engineer to know that’s BS. There’s absolutely no reason to mix players up if you’re not recording, unless you intend to go live with the mic. And I’ve NEVER heard a micd up player live. And why would they delete the audio after the game? That also makes NO sense. Actually, negative sense. That makes negative sense.

Yep. Anytime there’s a “live” mic in any sport, even for announcers, it’s on a delay. And when they show the “mic’d up” thing it’s always a quarter-ish later. I’m skeptical the NFL is saving a few bucks on hard drives by immediately deleting backup audio files.

Although it would make perfect sense that there would be an agreement with the NFLPA that nothing recorded could be used for legal purposes. In fact, I’d be surprised if that wasn’t a precondition for recording.

I want to know how and why nobody from the media is investigating this audio situation.

It is a bold-faced, completely fabricated lie that it doesn’t/didn’t exist. Mason Rudolph was mic’d for the game.

    This is literally beyond me.

So, in Myles appeal, the big thing the NFL said they wanted to see was remorse. And of course, his appeal was denied and his whole suspension was upheld.

Why do I bring this up? Because Maurkice Pouncey just said he has NO REGRETS about the fight. None. And he had his suspensions reduced. REDUCED. I fucking hate how blatently the league plays favorites.

His appeal was won on the grounds that “he stopped fighting when the brawl ended”. Dude, you WERE the brawl. So of course when you stopped fighting the brawl was over.

Yeah, there’s no hiding the favoritism.
