I like how you didn’t wait until the 2nd half to give out your goats. You are amazingly prescient. Why wait so long? How about you give us your gameballs or goats vs Carolina while you’re at it.

Because he is a broken record. They lose, fire them all. They win, hire them all.

Go to the obr to see more of his spazzes or the like of.

    Hue Jackson is a loser.

This is a very discouraging game.

I hope it isnt the result of a team finally put baker together based on some tape and figuring him out. He looked terrible. Wondering if he is eyeing guys down.

Hope this is a one of game. Hope it wasn’t from a hangover or lack of practice.

It really says something that in his worst game as a pro Baker still threw for just shy of 400 yards and over 67% complete.

Our defense was ok, not terrible. Despite our offense coughing up the ball 4 times and basically not playing in the 1st half our defense held them to just 1 TD and a bunch of long FG’s.

The difference between the offense in the 1st half and the 2nd half was playing scared. In the 1st half we planned for Watt and company to completely dominate our line. We called nothing but short passes. In the 2nd half we actually let the offense play to our own strengths. Baker moved around in the pocket and was great picking them apart through the air. 0 sacks allowed again.

Rookie QB’s have ups and downs, and Baker had a downer in the 1st half. But, he bounced back and had a stellar 2nd half. It was clear that Houston was the better team, but I wasn’t discouraged at all by the loss. In fact, I was the opposite. I loved the way Baker composed himself after 3 picks and a pick six. I love the way the defense was clamping down and keeping an electrifying offense to field goals. The Browns, overall, played well.

It’s not hard to pinpoint the problem, it was turnovers. Took away points from us and put points on the board for them. Very simple.

Agree with both of you. Picks are going to happen, especially to young QBs. Even bad looking picks are going to happen.

But, as already stated, Baker kept his composure. Once we got down, we needed some breaks to go our way to get back in it. And we never got those breaks, and Houston never made the bad mistake we needed.

Against a good team like Houston, yuo have to play mistake free ball, even if you’re the Patriots. We didn’t do that, and that’s why we lost. It wasn’t a clear talent deficit like in years past. We just didn’t play our best game.

Spot on. And THAT’s why this isn’t such a downer of a game. No reason for panic, no reason to freak out. The seasons over anyway, every snap we take is all about building for the future. If this next draft is as good as this one, look out. Plus we’v got 500 billion in cap space again.
