the dudeParticipant2 best defenders left game with injuries plus a third guy….
against one of the top offenses in the NFL. Time to fire Weak Bodied Williams.
Soup gives Hue a pass with nobodies, but not weak bodied williams.

IceKeymasterWithout HALF of our starting defenders (and even a few backups) we didn’t get totally embarrassed by the Chiefs. To this point they’ve been averaging 36 points per game, we kept them right at their average. So I’d say our defensive output was average.

I hope you are joking. They stopped laying it on in Q4. They amassed 499 yards in offense. They average 425. No excuses. They sucked from the beginning

Honestly, this may have been one of our best offensive showings in years. Defense is hurt…
Surprises soup isn’t calling ward weak bodied.

IceKeymasterSoup if one team rushes the ball 30 times for 600 yards in a game but scores 1 TD, and the other team only gets 30 yards but scores 6 TD’s who wins? The score is what matters. I’m gonna tell you something that the rest of us already know; William’s bend-don’t-break defense doesn’t give a shit about yards, it cares about points. They don’t care if the opposing offense marches all they way down the field because it gives them more chances to force a turnover and they’ll stop them once they get in the red zone. You’re only judging his defense on the one stat that his defense doesn’t give a shit about.

How this guy keeps getting jobs is mind boggling

IceKeymaster1st in the NFL in takeaways. That’s how. Our offense has gotten more chances than any other team in the league. They just failed to do shit with them. Before this week we went 3 and out 40% of the time. 40% of the time!!!!

Dude. C’mon. The Chiefs didn’t have to punt until the 4th quarter. Every drive they had, except one, ended with a TD until the 4th quarter. The only drive that didn’t end in a TD? Right before the half, when the defense almost gave up points after the offense scored with 26 seconds remaining. 26 SECONDS! And we needed a turnover to keep them off the scoreboard!
Jim Donovan kept saying “the defense hasn’t done a single thing right today.” At one point in the third, he even said “it’s really only penalties that are slowing Kansas City’s offense down.”
It was putrid.

The defense was not impressive at all. Of course the entire man to man coverage was killed when they had 2 dbs go down. Then the best lb we have in the team went down. Not making excuses, but it’s not like the chiefs haven’t been a scoring machine all year.
Anyone who expected the browns to win that game has issues. At the end of the day, I can say overall this team was 50% better. Imagine if we did get a turnover? We may have put points on the board.

MDP Sack AttackParticipantI wouldn’t say “strange”, Mayfield has been shown he’s the most important man in the room, might as well make his preference at LT known.
Robinson sucks, has proven for years to suck, but he’s better than what we have. Harrison has potential but totally blows at present and was developing a ton of bad habits (ie just holding instead of blocking). It’s a good swap for the rest of the season.

IceKeymasterHarrison was out due to getting his leaches treatment from the local surgeon/barber.
I’ll say it a little more clearly. Our defense looked bad against the Chiefs. BUT every defense in the NFL has looked bad against the Chiefs. They destroy defenses. They destroyed ours. They are who we thought they were.
