Williams for calling the Blitz to win the game, gets a game ball.

Mayfield….for looking like a Rookie bit of a goat here

Goat. Soup, for once again launching into a babble-filled diatribe of idiocy before the game is even over.

    My gameballs are:

Mayfield. Was clearly having an off night, but when we need it and him the most, led us on a scoring drive and found Callaway for what wound up being the winning TD. His ability to give zero fucks about poor play and focus only on what’s in front of him is stellar.

    Chubb. Better with each week.

Greg Williams. Many will lament his decision to go for it on 4th and 1, but that’s exactly why I’m giving him a game ball. We aren’t pussies and we let everyone know it with those kinds of calls. It’s a bold move, and fortune favors the bold. It shows nothing but trust and respect for the entire team. The offense in having the ability to get the job done, and if they fail, in the defense and in it’s ability to hold. They did. Game over.

We are not some conservative, play-not-to-lose, do-what-the-manual-says football team that’s going to hold it’s breath all the time. They’re gonna fucking play, and bring it right into your grill on ever play. That’s such a completely opposite approach than what we’ve had around here for so long and it’s got us relevant in mid December for the fist time in over a decade. All of that credit goes to Williams, so don’t listen to Soups uninformed, misguided and wholly imbecile-induced ramblings, Greg Williams get s a gameball.

Peppers. Two sacks and a sick pick in the endzone. This is the type of game I envisioned him having on a regular basis when we drafted him. Great to finally see a breakout performance.

    Goats:

    Soup, for being himself.

The refs. 3 blatant, uncalled facemask penalties. Pay attention zebras.

    No one else. We won.

Williams going for it was smart, until he called timeout. Once he blew that you kick the FG. Initial call was correct. It was him calling TO and letting Denver get their wits and still going for it that was dumb

    My take
    Balls
    1. Mayfield overcome a rough night to lead a 4th quarter win
    2. Chubb his 100yd night was needed his best was the 4o yd dash late in the 4th, flipped the field and eats up the clock.
    3. Perriman his td catch was awesome yes he made a bone head move with the taunting call but hey he’s caught everything thrown his way since being acquired mid season.
    4. Calloway yes he got a big penalty that took a possible 3 points off the board but he came up clutch on the game winning drive.
    5. the o-line say what you will but except for one rough stretch in the 3rd they held their own against Miller and Chubb.
    6. Peppers an int. 6 tackles and a game winning sack nuff said.

    Goats
    1. Williams calling that to when we had the offsides in the bag dumb dumb dumb.
    2. Ref’s 3 missed face masks what the hell

    Extra Credit
    1. Watching John Elway sitting in his box seat looking like he was choking on some horse cud.
    2. Breaking an 11 game losing streak to those mules no it wont wash away the drive or the fumble but it feels good none the less.

Mayfield started strong and finished strong but had a lot of problems in between. One thing I like was how he didn’t let his poor play get to him and came up with a 4th quarter comeback. He doesn’t get a gameball or goat, just mentioning it.
The Browns has a 15 play, 9 minute drive and only got to the 40 yard line. Not sure I’ve ever seen that before.

Perriman could’ve been flagged for a penalty before Taylor retaliated then Perriman was dumb enough to retaliate back.

Calloway did some good and some bad. The players, not just Calloway need to give the damn ball to the officials instead of acting like morons and taunting/showboating on some of their catches
Almost seems like most of offense was same with good/bad.

The defense stepped up when we needed it. Peppers has been on a tear since he was told that the fans don’t care where he played in college as long as he plays well.

I don’t even know the last time we played a game like that and won, especially on the road.

Only 3 gameballs for me to give out.
    1. Peppers
    2. The offensive line.
    3. Chubb the 40 yarder late in game helped make sure Denver jad a long field no matter what happened after that.

Goats were a mixed bag become the players who were getting them came through in the end so I’m not giving out any goats but just going to say we need to clean up those mistakes.

Mayfield looked completely off. He had a lot of Kizer in this game. Contrary to the 4 INT game earlier in the year where his decisions were bad, in this game his throws were off. I wonder if he has a cold or something.

Peppers had the game of his career so far.

Coaches won a game where our QB didn’t play well.

His arm is wickedly strong, I was wondering if the thin air was taking its toll with that because everything was long

Definitely this. Very few QBs have much success their first time or two playing in Denver, much like how pitchers fare terribly when playing the Rockies. If you’ve ever walked around Denver for a length of time, you know the elevation is no joke!

Was just gonna day that about the tin air. The ball was soaring on him.

That said, the Broncos could not have played a better game. Everything they were doing was working out, and there were a handful of times where they narrowly avoided turnovers.

They gave the Browns their bust punch, and they came up short. That’s what I take way from this game.

Also, Robinson is just not a long term solution. I can handle getting beat by Von Miller, that’s gonna happen. I can’t handle a tackle getting to second level and giving the linebacker a bear hug. WTF was that.

Pretty sure the ‘thinness of the air’ isn’t gonna move passes way off target, when he’s made the same passes in the rain and wind in the past and been spot on. It was an off day. It happens.

I’m not gonna argue that some of his passes weren’t off target. It wasn’t his best day.

The air being thin just means the ball is going to fly farther. It’s the same reason records for long field goals are typically set at Mile High, and during the game, Baker had several passes that flew past his intended target.

Does it excuse every bad throw? Absolutely not. There were some that were off, and some that were just bad decisions. But, I do believe it was a contributing factor. He was probably also amped up for a primetime game that was essentially a playoff game, so that’s another contributing factor.

To quote Soup: “You don’t know shit about air, your name is Ice so you’re literally out of your element. Not only did it make a huge difference but he had yogurt for breakfast that day and it metastasized in his colon which threw off his equilibrium and his throws all sailed on him. He’s trash and should be traded and Dorsey should be fired for drafting him”.

That was a direct quote btw.

I mean, I’ve done the same thing golfing. It gets pretty humid during the summer. I’ve gone out on some nice late fall days where it’s a lot drier, and all of a sudden I’m hitting the ball over every green. You don’t necessarily think about the air being thin and coinciously compensate for it the way you would compensate for rain and wind.

That’s ridiculous. If he would’ve had yogurt metastizing in his colon, his hair would’ve been blond. Read a book about DNA for once.

Maybe his balls were over inflated. Bad day? Yeah but we still was able to get a solid TD drive in the 4th quarter to come from behind.

Then the defense held up and we won. These Browns made a lot of mistakes and we won. In the past we could barely make any mistakes and still might not have won.

Von Miller only had one sack. Bradley Chubb had one nullified because of penalty. Look at the last 4 or 5 weeks and the Browns OL is doing pretty good. I give Robinson a lot of credit. Of course calling the right plays helps as does Mayfields ability to scramble. LT isn’t a position where we need to panic on. JMO
